Sporting Good Drive

Working to help with Global Goal 16. Two students collected sports equipment for one week and donated the items to an adoption agency called Lilyfield. We hope by donating it, we will give the foster kids and kids in adoption a chance to play and enjoy sports. We chose this project because it combined two things we love: sports and our adopted siblings. Foster kids have hardly anything when they move from place to place, so we hoped to give them the ability to play sports, an activity that they can enjoy anywhere and anytime. - OCA Student

Project Overview

Looking outside of ourselves

The mission for DUO Week (Do Unto Others) is to cultivate an experience at Oklahoma Christian Academy for the student body to look outside of themselves. We wanted to give students an opportunity to work together through serving the community and shining Christ's light. We believe with getting the community involved we will all be able to grow, better ourselves, and give back to those who are in need.

Recognizing the Issue

Giving the gift of sports

We chose this project because it combined two things we love: sports and our adopted siblings. Foster kids have hardly anything when they move place to place, so we hoped to give them the ability to play sports, an activity that they can enjoy anywhere and anytime.

Results of Our Project
