ELEMENTARY SPECIALS
MUSIC
Beginning in Pre-K, students attend music class once a week.
​
Music allows students to build confidence while creating, sharing, and collaborating on ideas for presentation and performance. It gives them the ability to develop music appreciation, music theory, and performance skills.
Lessons include singing, music reading, movement, instrument playing, and team-building activities. A stage performance for friends and family is offered each semester.

ART
Beginning in Kindergarten, students attend art class once a week.

Art allows students to learn skills that enable them to blend what they learn in core subjects by combining critical thinking, independence, attention to detail and craftsmanship. Art has a way of surpassing basic subjects by blending subjects in inventive ways that can spark the interest of all different types of students.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)
Beginning in Kindergarten, students attend STEAM class once a week.
​
STEAM allows students to learn skills in a variety of concepts in all of the above disciplines. Lessons vary with some lasting one week and others lasting five or six weeks. The goals for this class are for students to learn something new and interesting to them, think outside the box, stretch their imaginations, work together, learn together and from each other, learn that mistakes are not wrong but another way to learn and grow, find the beauty in even the smallest things and have a blast while doing it all.

LIBRARY
Beginning in Kindergarten, students attend the library once a week
PE
Beginning in Kindergarten, students attend PE class once a week.

PE allows students to emphasize physical development, teamwork and fun through games and fitness activities. Classes are adapted for grades to meet specific needs. Our PE class has lots of fun while learning!
