Robotics is based on Engineering disciplines and computer science. At OCA, we participate in the FIRST robotics program where students are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format.

 

To that end, we use:

•     Java software for the autonomous and telecom robot control

•     Fusion 360 and TinkerCad tools for the 3D robot parts design

•     Dremel 3D printers and CNC machines to build parts

•     Google software to build and maintain Engineering documents

Our high school Robotics team went to State last year, placing 6th, and our      4-8th grade Robotics team placed 5th at State and will head to the Open Invitational in Massachusetts summer 2025.
