SPIRITUAL LIFE
WELCOME TO SPIRITUAL LIFE AT OCA!

At OCA, spiritual life is at the heart of our mission to nurture students' faith, character, and relationship with God. We believe that spiritual growth is integral to education, and our Bible department provides opportunities for Eagles to deepen their walk with Christ, both inside and outside the classroom.
Secondary students participate in a textual Bible class twice a week, a hands-on Bible class twice a week and chapel once a week. Our 6th through 9th grade curriculum is designed to set a solid foundational knowledge of the Bible, Christian virtues, and the life and teachings of Jesus that will serve our students as they mature in the Christian faith. Our 10-12th grade curriculum is designed to challenge our students to think deeply about the Christian faith, answer difficult questions, and encourage them to unashamedly live out their Christian walk and share it with others.
Elementary Eagles have a weekly Praise Chapel and daily Bible lessons with their homeroom teacher. Their curriculum is designed to familiarize our students with the stories and characters of Scripture along with the values and virtues of the Christian life.

OUR MISSION
-
Foster a Christ-centered environment where students grow in their understanding of God's Word and develop a personal relationship with Him.
-
Encourage spiritual formation through Bible study and memorization, prayer, worship and service.
-
Equip students to live out their faith with integrity, compassion, and a heart for service at OCA and in our school, community and our world.
-
Promote a school culture where students support one another in their spiritual journeys and hold each other accountable in love.

WHY SPIRITUAL LIFE MATTERS
We believe that true education goes beyond academics and prepares students for life with God at the center. OCA equips students to develop a DEEP faith, become servant leaders, and respond to God's calling on their lives. By nurturing the spiritual growth of each student, we aim to prepare them not only for success in their academic pursuits, but also for a life dedicated to honoring God and serving others.

Every Eagle is encouraged to explore their unique calling and DEEPen their relationship with Christ through a variety of meaningful spiritual opportunities.
