What Makes OCA Unique
We understand there are many great options for Christian schools in our area. With that said, we believe we have some things that help us stand out! The intentional ways we empower students to bear God’s image, the amount of opportunities to use God-given gifts, and our commitment to families are three of these distinctions.
Developing spiritually through service to others
Serving others is an important part of the spiritual development for our students. Our goal is to provide opportunities related to service and spiritual life. Combining experiences with spiritual reflection helps our students broaden awareness of community.
The list of projects include but is not limited to the following:
- American Cancer Society Relay for Life
- Habitat for Humanity
- Food drives for local food banks
- Adopting needy families for Christmas
- Working at local missions
- Providing school supplies for families within the local community
- Feed the Children
- Local Soup Kitchens
- Special Olympics Basketball Tournament
- Serving at the Local Community Center
- Special Projects for Area Churches
Taking time to glorify the Lord
The Elementary students begin each school day with Chapel. It is an opportunity for them to glorify the Lord and provides an ideal situation for learning leadership and responsibility. Often students are given an opportunity to recite a poem, play, or scripture. On Fridays, we celebrate accomplishments and birthdays immediately following Chapel during "Eagle Beat".
Middle School and High School Chapel is designed to give our students the opportunity to grow as they seek God and His guidance in their lives. It provides them a foundation to continue a lifelong journey of commitment to Him. Chapel is lead by students, faculty, alumni, youth ministers, and special guests. This time reflects the value that Oklahoma Christian Academy places on faith development and community.
